Join the second oldest Gay Mardi Gras Krewe with the most consecutive balls. We were established in 1965 and have never missed a ball! Membership is open to all: male, female, transitioning, and LGBTQ + allies.

A few things you should know

We are excited that you are considering to join the Krewe of Amon-Ra. We want to share some information about the Krewe to make sure you are an informed member.

Membership Dues

Each member must pay an annual membership to remain in the Krewe. The membership can be paid in full or installments. The dues support the Annual Ball and reserve your table at the ball.  The current annual fee is $350, but is subject to change.

Membership Sponsors

Once your application is submitted, you must be sponsored by five Krewe members before your application is bought to a vote for acceptance by the current membership. (Don’t worry, we’ll help you get the signatures you need.)

Krewe Functions

The Krewe holds functions throughout the year to raise funds for the annual ball. As a member, you’ll be expected to sell tickets to the event as set forth by the Function Lieutenant.

Annual Ball

As a good-standing member, you will have a table of 10 reserved for you at the annual ball. Our ball is by invitation only and details about the ball and theme are announced by the Ball Captain.
